The Best Lego Designs
Although they are toys, Legos inspire amazing creations. LEGO artists make use of small plastic bricks for everything from robots to architecture. The company’s engineers also design new components that allow builders to create more intricate models. Erik Varszegi, a Master Builder working for the Lego Group in Billund, Denmark created a new component this year that is a curved slope. It lets Lego users create more slanted forms while adhering to the company’s strict color palette. The slopes can be used to create more dynamic shapes, like an incline staircase.
While some Lego designs are the creations of professional designers, others are the result of the popular Lego Ideas set-design program. It’s not surprising that the more elaborate and awe-inspiring sets usually garner the most popularity — particularly when they feature iconic scenes or characters from TV shows, movies, or real life.
